Jean Legal

With over 25 years of experience as a leader in the greater Baltimore real estate market, Jean Legal has an outstanding reputation among her clients and fellow realtors.  Nationally, Jean is in the top 1% of Realtors in America.   Jean is a lifetime member of Long and Foster Masters Club for top producers and the Howard County Million Dollar Club.  Jean is ranked in the top 30 agents of over 14,000 for Long and Foster agents for 2006, top 10 team for 2007 and 2008 in the Baltimore Region of Long and Foster.

Jean has lived in Howard County for 30 years. She grew up on a dairy farm in Montgomery County, MD, where she was an active member in 4H.  She is a graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in Elementary Education and taught third grade.  Jean continues to be a leader in her church and community, and supports numerous local philanthropic organizations. As a parent of an adult son who is mentally and physically delayed, Jean continues to be an active volunteer for The ARC of Howard County.

In addition to her son, Jean also has a daughter who is married with four sons.  Jean is an avid tennis player and always enjoys getting to spend time with her four grandchildren.

Jean has been married for 40 years to Dale, who is an active member of her team, after a successful career in corporate consulting.  Jean heads up her team of five realtors - The Jean Legal Team - and consistently is the number one producer in her office of over 200 agents.

Karen Berger has been active in the local real estate market for the past 25 years.  A longtime Columbia resident, Karen first worked as a Property Management Specialist, overseeing both commercial and rental units for a company in Laurel, MD.  Upon attaining her real estate license in 1992, Karen worked for a few brokers before becoming associated with Long and Foster, and immediately became a tremendous asset to The Jean Legal Team.  Karen's strengths are numerous -- not only in her professional representation of her clients -- but in her natural ability to keep the office grounded with her thorough knowledge of every client file, her up-to-date schedule of meeting deadlines, her maintenance of all print advertising, her diligence in keeping all data bases current, and more.  Specifically, Karen is the "glue" of The Jean Legal Team with her keen administration skills.  Additionally, Karen is a Certified Stager.

 

Karen and her Husband, Ed, reside in the Village of Kings Contrivance where they have raised two children, Stephen and Kelly.  Karen is a familiar presence around her neighborhood.  In recent years, she has served on the Executive Board for the Mount St. Joseph Mother's Club and has been a strong supporter of the Hammond High School Booster Program.  Stephen plays Major League Lacrosse for the Long Island Lizards and is employed by Maverick Lacrosse.  Kelly, a graduate of James Madison University, is a woman's lacrosse coach at UMBC.  Both children are on the United States Lacrosse teams.

 

Karen loves outdoor sports, especially running.  When she is not working in real estate, her time is spent watching lacrosse games and spending time with her large, extended family and her many friends.

After successfully developing a privately held executive search company over a 20-year career, Dale sold his firm to a global organization and retired. After spending 2 years in retirement, he realized he missed the world of business and became licensed Realtor.

Dale brings marketing, sales and technology skills to our team; he is a welcome addition! Dale is very focused and passionate about the real estate business. Whether working with a buyer, or seller, he brings added value to his clients and exceeds their expectations on each transaction.

As a Maryland native, Lynn Gray joined The Jean Legal Team in 2004 as an experienced team member in the real estate industry. Unlike other business structures, Lynn believes that the benefits of a small, well-managed team result in complete, controlled and personalized customer service. Lynn?s continued success is attributed to her strong communication skills and her ultimate goal of achieving exceptional client satisfaction ? the basis for continued referrals. Her professional demeanor, her keen knowledge of the ever-changing real estate market, and her calming influence have made Lynn a well?respected agent among clients and peers alike.

In addition to a full-time real estate schedule, Lynn gets her exercise in the form of playing in competitive tennis leagues. In their free time, Lynn and her husband, Dave, enjoy traveling to Massachusetts to watch their youngest son play lacrosse. Socially, they delight in spending time with their two older children, as well as their large extended families. They are members of St. John the Evangelist Church and strong supporters of DeMatha Catholic High School.

Previously an attorney for a United Way agency, Stephanie now loves her work as a full time realtor.  Stephanie?s legal background gives her clients a strong advantage when it comes to writing, negotiating and reviewing offers and contracts.  Stephanie?s knowledge, skill and experience ensures her clients' best interests are protected at every stage of the transaction - ultimately getting them to settlement day successfully.

Stephanie lives in Columbia with her husband and two sons.  She is a graduate of Miami University and The University of Toledo College of Law, where she was awarded a Juris Doctor.   

 

Stephanie combines an impressive professional background as a licensed attorney and community leader.  Stephanie?s prior work experience includes Director of Legal Affairs for The Arc, an advocacy agency working on behalf of people with disabilities, where her legislative advocacy program became a statewide model.  Her community service is strongly grounded in the autism movement, where she served as President of the nationally recognized Howard County Autism Society, and continues to serve as a Board member.  Stephanie remains active in her children?s PTA, and for several years has volunteered as a religious education teacher at St. Mary of the Mills Church in Laurel, MD.
